This is me, Niarayu. My friends call me Nia, but my real name is Casey. You may not call me that unless I say you're allowed o.O
Man, it's been a long time since I've updated this thing. I'm not 16 anymore, I'm 19, so...yeah, lol. I still like reading and writing, singing, and drawing, and still do a lot of each of those things. I even watch TV (gasp!) The shows I watch are House, Lie To Me, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: NY, Glee, and Craig Ferguson. And hockey. I love me some hockey. I don't really have a favorite author anymore...my favorite used to be whatever I was into at any given time - I had just gotten (and liked) the Twilight series last time I updated this, so Stephenie Meyer was my favorite author. But I haven't gotten any new books in quite a while, so...yeah, lol. My bookshelf is getting full, but it's pretty small. I need a new one.
I don't write very much outside of role-playing, which I still do a lot of. I've advanced quite a bit since I last updated - now I am considered an "advanced literate" role-player, writing out 10+ paragraphs per reply. That's a lot of lines! Role-playing is really the only way I now, and it's plenty to vent some creativity. I have a hybrid laptop-tablet PC, so I can draw on my computer instead of filling up a bunch of sketchbooks, but I use both mediums to draw. I still wish I could take art/drawing-and-painting/drawing-anatomy classes, but oh well.
I'm kind of in college now. In theory - I'm enrolled, and I've taken a semester, but due to stupid things I've had to take a semester off. Hooray for the lazy life! Job availability is like 0, so I've just been chillin' really for a semester. Next semester I'll be going to a small private college (which eagerly accepted me for my history in singing and Dean's List status).
I still sing, and music is still one of the most important aspects of my life. Kind of like books, my favorite artist is mostly based on the new music I get. About a year ago, I had an obsession for Muse, next was Dream Theater, and now I'm revisiting an old favorite, Kamelot, which I'm currently obsessing over. Roy Khan just has an amazing voice! @.@
Anyway, those are some of my favorite bands I guess. I haven't been in choir now for a long time, so I'm nervous about trying out for the top choir in this college I'll be going for. I haven't had proper practice in such a long time, I'm worried I'll screw it up! I haven't practiced reading music or tonal memory or my chromatic scales in at least a year, maybe two. Gah! I guess we'll see how it goes.
Let me rephrase this part, though it still holds true - I don't like to upset people, so I tend to not argue, but there are a few things that I stand strong against:
~I am not interested in sex or cyber of any kind, even though I tend to joke around or flirt sometimes. If that's all you're here for, you may as well leave - my life isn't about that kind of stuff and I'd appreciate it if I didn't get flamed for it.
~I have a pretty large inventory, but that's because I have great friends; particularly InsideVoice, who's given me a lot of the things I own. It's because of them I have a lot of the things I do; I didn't buy everything I own; I'm not rich; and I can't afford to buy credits. I've had several people ask me for things already, and it gets old fast. I will be blunt if you ask me to give you something - the answer will be no unless you're a good friend of mine. Most of my money comes from my meager sticker sales, and when I actually get a decent amount I'd rather spend it on something for me than something for someone I don't know.
Oh, and one more thing.
I LOVE LITERATES~!
Seriously. I'm a huge grammar nazi (though I won't necessarily say anything if someone makes spelling/grammar errors - that tends to annoy people rather than help them). I still get teased a little about it, but I don't really care - speaking proper English, even in text, makes people look more intelligent than if they use chat speak. It just does. I can't take people seriously if dey talk liek dis. I really, really enjoy intelligent conversations with intelligent people. That said, I tend to jump at the opportunity to make friends with fellow literates, so if you feel the same way, feel free to leave a comment! That isn't to say that I don't like or won't speak to people who are illiterates - I do have several friends who don't exactly type like this, so don't feel intimidated just because of that.
If you've read this far, I definitely give you props - I know I tend to rant on these things. I used to have my MSN and AIM address here, but I think that's a retarded idea now. If I get to know and like you on IMVU, then chances are you'll get those addresses - all I ever did was deny anyone I didn't know who tried to add me before anyway.
I did not make this wishlist for people to buy everything off of it! xD Most of anything I put on here ends up bought and given to me! -CoughInsideVoiceCough-! My wishlist is here for the sole purpose of keeping the things I want somewhere I can find them, so I don't have to keep searching what I want, when chances are I'll forget them the next day, and have to do a search all over again. So by all means, pass this section without a second thought! I'd feel better if I bought my own stuff, since I wouldn't have to worry about paying anyone back. Dx
I dunno about new, but she's definitely cool! Kiddiss just bought me my own name! Whee, I'm so excited, I'mma get busy with the developer program thingy, and see you long it is before I'm lost!
